Stevany Aguirre
Program Organizer
She/Her/Ella
Stevany Aguirre was born in Veracruz, Mexico, but lived part of her life in Chihuahua. From a young age, she learned the value of hard work and dedication, starting to work at the age of 12. In 2008, she immigrated to the US and has been living in Santa Fe for 16 years, building a life for her and her four children: Armanee, Laylanie, Kaleb and Faith.

Stevany is a full-time mother, a responsibility she handles with a lot of love and dedication. She is a Mexican folk dancer, a passion that she has had since she was little and that has allowed her to stay connected to her cultural roots. She is also a Spanish interpreter, which has allowed her to help others and strengthen her communication skills. She learned the English language by watching movies with subtitles, which was a great personal achievement for her.

Stevany tells us, “I am a determined and hard-working person, always seeking to achieve my goals with the greatest dedication possible. My passion for dance and music is an integral part of my life. I love horses, snakes, black widows, and cats, and I really enjoy outdoor activities like horseback riding and dancing. My happy places are the mountains, rivers and lakes, where I find peace and tranquility.

I was raised by a single mother and my grandmother, who was also a mother to me. Although she is sadly no longer with us, her love and teachings continue to be an inspiration in my life.”
Her aspirations for the future include purchasing a house or ranch for her children and continuing her education to become an immigration attorney. She wants to help our Latino communities and provide them with the support they need. She also dreams of traveling to India and Egypt, places that have always fascinated her.

She decided to join the Earth Care/Poder Familiar team because she firmly believes in the programs and their purpose of helping our communities and new generations. Her main goal at Earth Care/Poder Familiar is to focus on developing civic plazas that provide communities with meeting places, involving food trucks and local businesses on Airport. Rd. By doing this, she hopes to contribute to the economic development of our area, especially for low-income families.
She is excited to be part of this team and to work together to make a positive difference in our communities.
