Megan Taros


Environmental Justice and Community Development Coordinator

She/Her

Megan Taros is a former journalist who covered race and equity for more than a decade. She was born and raised in Los Angeles and has lived all over the country. She is a graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in New York City. She previously covered health equity, education and state politics at the Santa Fe New Mexican and Source New Mexico. She launched beats specifically covering communities of color at both the Times-News in Twin Falls, Idaho and The Arizona Republic in Phoenix where her work ushered change for farm workers during the pandemic and fixed dangerous roads. She joined Earth Care in 2024 as an Environmental Justice and Community Development Coordinator.
