Writer's picture: Earth CareEarth Care

Earth Care assisted the Railyard Conservancy, the Santa Fe Conservation Trust, the MPO and others, on a Safe Routes to Schools community study to assess the infrastructure and transit options in our communities on the Southside. We need adequate infrastructure to get our educators, staff, and students to and from school safely both via car but also provide the freedom to bike, walk and use public transit! Check out the Community Health Profile put together by these parties.

REPORT: COMMUNITY HEALTH PROFILE SANTA FE SOUTHSIDE SECTOR GREENWAY LOOP

The Community Health Profile report talks about the need for improvements to the Southside of Santa Fe specifically regarding transportation and outdoor recreation access. Even though Southside residents have been aware of disparities in investment and infrastructure in these neighborhoods, this report lays out the needs formally.

The area in this report focuses on a residential area with its boundary to the north and west, near Veterans Memorial Highway aka NM 599. To the south, the area is bordered by Airport road.
