SANTA FE MUTUAL AID Network
The Santa Fe Mutual Aid Network is a growing network of over 1,000 members, the majority of whom are Latinx immigrants in SF County who are sharing needs and resources with one another through the pandemic and beyond. The Mutual Aid Solidarity Network has:

Redistributed nearly three quarters of a million dollars from those in our community who have excess resources to those in our community who have been disproportionately impacted,

Helped members apply and secure over a million dollars in housing and utility aid,
-
And distributed thousands of masks and personal protection equipment at the beginning of the pandemic as well as thousands of lbs of food & medical deliveries.
Santa Fe Mutual Aid is coordinated by Earth Care. At the onset of the pandemic many community members and organizations were looking for a way to connect with neighbors to offer and find support. Community members Raashan A and Beth G started a form where community could offer and ask for what they needed. Earth Care’s organizing staff, including YUCCA leadership, provided training, coordination, and staffing for the network which activated thousands of resource-sharing connections from grocery runs to wellness checks to in-depth case management to the #Share My Check income redistribution program.
Currently, we host community events, like Community Swaps/Community Closets and Brake Light Clinics (with Santa Fe DSA). We mainly connect community members to resources and funds through the Santa Fe CONNECT program which institutionalized the networked aid response whose need was made so painfully obvious during the pandemic. Earth Care and others advocated for millions to be allocated to human services using ARPA and other federal relief programs.
